New Momma Essentials

When I was pregnant, I spent an insane amount of time on Pinterest reading every post and article about how I needed to prepare for Sawyer. Most of the time I ended up with either a mile long shopping list or a headache from all the conflicting information. Don't even get me started on how making our baby registry went. I truly had no idea there were so many options and how much of a hole you could get into shopping for a baby.

The following list are some of the items my husband and I tell anyone who will listen about, because they are that good. It can be so confusing when you  are a first time parent (we know that all to well) but it is also so exciting. Hopefully this list will ease some tension as you prepare for your little one.

1. Dock-A-Tot

This miraculous product was something I had my suspicions about, but you cannot miss this product when looking for lists of what baby needs. It is on just about every list for good reason- it works! Thanks to this product, Sawyer was happily sleeping through the night by three months and has not stopped.

2. Aden & Anais Swaddles

These swaddles are great for the newborn stage and beyond. We live in South Carolina where the temperatures are about 60 degrees for eighty percent of the year. We always have one of these swaddles in Sawyer's diaper bag because they are the perfect weight for our climate.

3. Maxi-Cosi Travel System

We were blessed enough to be given this off of our registry but I would purchase it myself 100 times over. This has everything you need to be on the go with baby, and grows through every stage. I knew that a car seat was one of the items I wanted to invest the most in for safety purposes, and Maxi Cosi fits the bill.

4. Skip Hop Diaper Bag

This diaper bag is a dream because of the multitude of large pockets. You can't help but be organized with this diaper bag which any momma knows can be easy to get out of order.

5. Burts Bees Baby

Burts Bees has the market cornered on soft sweet pajamas and clothes for your little one. Not only are their baby clothes organic, but they are in the most adorable patterns. These quickly became my go to for Sawyer because to be honest, I was jealous they did not come in my size.

6. Ergobaby Carrier

This carrier was by far my favorite and Sawyer's favorite over the more popular wraps. I just felt like he was more stable in this carrier and he still goes everywhere like this. It is so much easier than using the stroller when we are doing a lot of walking.
